Rescued

I read a few chapters in Galatians today. I was thinking about how easily we let go of the gospel we know in our hearts to be true. We pursue our own self, the will of others, the patterns of this world, and we abandon the relentless pursuit of Jesus and His ways. Verse 4 says Jesus has rescued us from this evil world. He has offered Himself for us, and He desires that we experience this rescue. What a Savior. He is our redeemer and our rescuer. He rescues me from my self. He rescues me from living with no hope. He rescues me from my faults and failures. He rescues me from being a slave to the ways and methods of this fallen world. Jesus has made a way for us to live and experience His saving grace in our lives moment by moment, day by day. Thank You Lord!

"We know the meaning of those words because Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we're in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God's plan is that we all experience that rescue. Glory to God forever! Oh, yes!" Gal. 1:4-5 (The Message)
