The Fullness of Jesus

Paul finishes one of the greatest chapters in the Bible, Eph 1, with Jesus. He is our all in all.

"And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all." - Eph 1:22-23

We need the fullness of Jesus in our life now more than ever. Latley the Holy Spirit has been telling me over and over again that everything is about Jesus. Every thought I have, every breath I take should be devoted wholly to Him. I think making Jesus our all in all is the one things we avoid the most in our flesh. We go around it with busyness, Christianity, ministry, new paradign shifts. new movements and methods, but at the end of the day, we must be doing it for Him. The whole of our life must come under His subjection, and laid at His feet. Then He will come and fill our heart, mind, soul, life, ministry, relationships, and our everything. I want that more than ever. I can feel the deep parts of my created being crying out for the depths of Jesus.

We can plant churches and be missional and reach every person in the community, but if the living water and of our Jesus is not flowing out of us like a river, then we have done it in vain. Fall in love with Jesus and you will find you love people. Follow Jesus and you will find He leads you out into the everyday lives of people whether in the community or in the church, doesn't matter. We all need Jesus and we can all give Jesus.

Oswand Chamber puts it perfectly of course when he says "The bedrock of Christianity is Personal, Passionate, Devotion to the Lord Jesus."
