My wife and I started watching
John Adams last night. I am impressed with the integrity and resolve that these men had. Where has that kind of character gone in America today? I fear America is headed for a "self full" future where every man considers only his own interests and give no thought toward the benefit of his neighbor. That kind of pursuit will end in the collapse of our nation. Our country and our system of government will only work as we follow a moral and biblical model of esteeming others better than our self and loving our neighbor. The biblical principles that our nation has been founded upon are like an invisible magnetic force that holds everything together. Remove that force and everything fly's apart. Sadly, I think we are seeing the beginning of that process in our nation today.
