Almost Done
Psalms 13:6 - I will sing of the LORD's praise for he has been good to me.
One week left. Its hard to believe this five year journey is almost over. By the end of this week I will have finished seminary, completing 73 credit house of graduate level work to earn my Master of Divinity degree from Regent University. I've learned that even the most difficult journey is conquered one step at a time. As I do all the "last things" like my last modular class, my last online discussion, my last paper, ect, I am reminded of how good and faithful God has been. I have seen him at work in my life through my obedience, through my efforts. He is just waiting to pour out his gracious plans upon our lives, but we must step forward and walk in his calling. Sometimes we feel like we've done all the right things, we go to church, we're involved in everything, and we seek the Lord, but we feel something is still missing, something is not right. The rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-22 came to Jesus expressing this feeling that something was still lacking in his life. He followed all the rules and did everything right. Jesus answer was "Follow Me." This is what we must do. Following Christ means walking, taking steps in response to being with Jesus, knowing Jesus, and having your character transformed into the likeness of Jesus.
