God's Will for Your Life

Growing up in a Christian community, people always asked, "What is God's will for your life?" That question brought with it plenty of unnecessary anxiety for me and many other young adults. I've discovered God's will is not about finding the right spouse or choosing the right career or joining the right church. God desires that we chose to align our life with his kingdom. That simply means loving God and others. It means choosing to share kindness, being generous, participating in goodness, and forgiving others. It means hungering and thirsting for righteousness, seeking after truth, and letting go of self. As we chose to walk this path, we take the kingdom of God with us, spreading lite and life and joy and peace to all those we encounter. Isn't this God's will for our lives?
