Chose Curiosity

Seth Godin posted a good thought today. He shares a brief story of how sun tea was made, but then found out his previous understanding was wrong. Realizing he could have easily looked up the facts he said "It was better, apparently, to feel right than to know what was actually happening. Curiosity is a choice."

The same holds true with Bible study. Is it better to feel right than to understand what the biblical authors are actually saying? I believe God loves and encourages our curiosity. Unfortunately, in many churches, it will cost you to choose curiosity. Many people would rather remain comfortable, right, and unchallenged.

Keep asking questions and choosing curiosity, The reward of ongoing discovery is far greater than feeling right.
