Be cautious of convenience

It is difficult not to be consumed with convenience in our culture today. There is little delayed gratification which can build patience and character. There are many alternatives to the right path. The choice to overcome and press through something difficult is rarely taken when there are so many escapes available.

Conveniences are good and can be beneficial in many ways, but we need to be cautious. It's easy to become consumed with ease and convenience and not even realize we are changing. Self is devious and will find anyway it can to re-assert its control over the inner man.

The more we avoid the narrow path, the more we fear that way. There is only one way back and that is to face it head on. Make a habit of choosing the better path.
